The chicks that we are taking care of.
A new Silkie roo.
Whoopi the Polish
A Silkie pullet that we hatched over the summer.
Fabio: king of the coop.
Princess Dianna, Cochin.
The gang chillin' under a bush.
Channel the buff Cochin. Look how fluffy!!
Little Bird is a mix between a Silkie hen and an OEGB rooster. He actually turned out beautiful! Look at the rainbow he's got on his back... He got (from his mother) five toes, a walnut comb, a beard/muffs, feathered feet, and a small crest. From his dad, he got the normal, slick pretty black feathers.

I love Little Bird, he's awesome looking!
Isn't he??! He's so cute; he's actually really small but he thinks that he's huge!! He has LittleManaphobia.
I love your pictures. I will cross my silkie rooster with my cochin hen in spring since she will probably want to hatch and I only have a silkie rooster. I had wondered what the chicks might turn out like and I hope they are as nice as yours.
your chickens are so beautiful! I especially like the polish crested with the gold and black feathers.
Your little bird does look quite regal.
I'm glad to see you posting again!
I'll browse around the farm a little!
I forgot to tell you that I enjoyed your new video. You are quite the techie!
nobody-but-us-chickens: We have several Cochins and Silkie roosters. One of our Silkie hens is setting and she may have some Cochin/Silkie mixes, too! We may end up with some alike mixes! Thank you!
Don: Thank you!! We bought the Polish at the fair in 2007, and, oddly enough, one of them doesn't have a wing! We named her Bethany after the one-armed surfer, Bethany Hamilton.
We're doing a science project on the mixing of a Silkie hen with an Old English Game bantam... Are we chicken-crazy or what?
Thank you very much! I like making movies a lot. It all started with the baby chick slideshows, and has now evolved into entering into film making competitions! If I ever become a famous producer (which I probably won't) you can say, "I was one of the first people to watch one of her earliest films!" :]
